Speakers

Chris Corrigan is an internationally known facilitator and teacher of participatory leadership and facilitation. He has worked for 25 years with Indigenous communities, non-profits, governments and churches in Canada, the United States and Europe. His work has focused on understanding and working with complexity, emergence and living systems and creating engaging, powerful and effective containers for to tap collective intelligence. He lives on Bowen Island BC with his life and business partner Caitlin Frost. He worships and sings tenor at Bowen Island United Church, where he is also a lay preacher.

Ben Wolfe is a convenor, consultant and communicator whose emergent, community-building process work on transition and complex issues has attracted clients and collaborators from his region and around the world. Ben is part of delivering ongoing spirituality, leadership and trauma healing programs with Thomas Hübl; Pema Chödrön; the Social Impact Exchange; Pacific Integral; the Pocket Project; and Being & Doing. His clients have included mental health agencies; regional tourism organizations; leading health, environment and arts NGOs; Fortune 500 companies; community groups and processes; and multiple denominations of churches in transition. Closest to his heart, his home congregation is 8 years into transforming leadership and culture through participatory process and “conversations that matter.” He is a serial co-creator of emergent, collaborative local projects for the public good. Ben co-taught the Masters-level course on Foundations of Regenerativity at Ubiquity University and is a past Director of Communications of local and national NGOs. He is also a photographer, poet and would love to join you in song.

Violetta Ilkiw is an experienced Art of Hosting practictioner, conflict facilitator and organizational consultant. She has worked with a variety of nonproft groups, government and private companies. Violetta’s focus has been on helping groups find ways to work with difference, diversity and conflict, toward a better understanding of themselves, and to find ways to function more collaboratively and effectively. She brings a deep level of experience in community organizing, working with conflict and difference, and the inner work of leadership. She has a personal interest in hospicing and the challenges of (all sorts of) life transitions and brings compassion and deep listening to personal and organizational change process.
